HARTSOP SELF CATERING COTTAGES

Displaying cottages near Hartsop.

Hartsop Lake District holiday cottages benefit from their proximity to Brotherswater lying in the Patterdale valley. The village itself retains a historic air, with 17th-century grey stone cottages and the lovely Hartsop Hall amongst the highlights. Hayeswater is a mile away from the village and serves as a reservoir for Penrith.

Self catering accommodation in Hartsop is popular with walkers, with the village nestled in the valley beneath Brock Crags and Hartsop Dodd and longer walks available to the starting points of the Helvellyn and High Street ranges. Visitors can find shops and amenities from the nearby towns of Windermere and Ambleside that are only a short distance drive away.

There is a pub that offers friendly staff, real ales on tap, a good choice of malt whiskeys and reasonably priced food throughout the day. The Brotherswater Inn welcomes walkers, cyclists, and dogs. It is a great way to finish a day of exploring over a nice cold beverage looking out at the spectacular fells from terrace tables.

Situated away from all the noise and rush often associated with busier Lake District towns, the area of Hartsop is enclosed with outstanding natural beauty and is an excellent holiday for those of you wishing to experience a few days in the rural country in a one of Absolute Escapes Lake District Cottages.
