The quaint Market Town of Alston is a 12 mile drive up the steep and winding road known as "Hartside" with its famous cafe at the top, surrounded by rolling moorland and hills, the views from this point are magnificent, all the way over to the Lake District Fells. The general area does have a lot to offer from the good local pubs for food and a refreshing drink, to an open air swimming pool in one of the nearby villages. we could go on but come and see for yourselves.
