Booking

This website has been designed to make choosing and booking your accommodation as easy and as straightforward as possible. Just follow the steps below:

Choose location

The brochure is colour co-ordinated by location to make choosing your preferred location quick and easy. Online, simply choose location by clicking on the preferred area of the map, or by the location drop-down bar. Select your desired location and then;

Select your holiday home

Using the property descriptions, simply select the accommodation for you. Information about facilities is all there for your guidance and assistance.

Tariff

Unless otherwise stated on each property tariffs are fully inclusive. Any additional charges will be clearly noted.

Price your stay

Then price your stay using the colour-coded price band at the end of each property description. There are five price bands: Out of Season, Low Season, Mid Season, High Season, and Peak Season, (Out of Season prices are by negotiation). Weekends and Shortbreaks are priced by arrangement depending on offers available and the time of year. Call the Booking Office on 01768 892777 for the latest Weekends and Shortbreaks availability. The booking calendar, indicates the dates relating to these price bands. Prices are based on a 7 days stay, starting from a Saturday, unless otherwise stated. Once you have priced your stay;

Pay rental deposit*

A variable deposit related to the cost of the rental is payable on booking, as follows:

Up to £150 per week £40.00
£151 - £400 per week £50.00
£401 - £800 per week £75.00
£801 - £1,000 per week £100.00
£1,001 + per week £200.00
Booking Fee £12.00

The balance is due four weeks before the first day of the holiday. Where a booking is less than four weeks before arrival the full rental is payable when booking.

*In addition to the rental deposit, a Good Housekeeping Deposit of £100.00 is payable on selected properties due on payment of balance monies. This deposit is intended and may be used to offset (a) the cost of remedying any damages, breakages or losses sustained by the owner of the property or (b) any unbudgeted costs incurred by Absolute Escapes Lettings Ltd for restoring the property to a suitable and clean condition, (c) excessive usage of utilities, as will be expected by the next party of visitors. This deposit cheque will not normally be banked but will be shredded and disposed of following your stay unless funds are required, in which case you will be notified in writing of the amount deducted - the balance being forwarded to you. The Good Housekeeping Deposit shall not be used to cover any payments due or any extras etc. If payment of booking is made by debit/credit card, then card details are held in lieu of Good Housekeeping Deposit.

Confirmation

Once we receive your booking, we will immediately confirm availability of your preferred accommodation. If for any reason the property selected in not available on the date booked, and an alternative property or date is not suitable, the deposit/rental will be refunded in full.

Upon receipt of the balance, you will receive written acknowledgement and full details regarding the property.

Arrival and Departure

This may vary on some properties. You are asked to check the arrival and departure times when making your booking.

Cancellation

If you have to cancel your holiday, you are advised to contact the Booking Office immediately. The rental will be payable in full. In such cases, we will do our best to re-let and if successful would normally return the balance of rental less the handling charge (£25.00). If you cancel within the last four weeks you are liable for the full holiday rental.

Complaints

If there should be any cause for a complaint that you feel has not been adequately resolved, then please write to: Absolute Escapes Lettings Ltd, 1A St. Andrews View, Penrith, Cumbria, CA11 7YF . All complaints received are investigated promptly and courteously, and the outcome is communicated in writing.
